Features a beatiful Eagle returning to its nest from flight overlooking her eggs. The detail and realism in this piece are just exceptional! Mounted on a custom 2 tier marble base with a plaque reading Eagles Lair II, By Chope. The back of the nest is marked Chope '93 and numbered 37/100.

Michigan Native, Ed Chope, is best known as a sculptor. Starting his artistic career at the age of 17, he eventually expanded his career by creating commissioned works for a bronze company in Bay City, Michigan in his twenties. He created a seies of 5 bronze eagles for the American Bronze Foundry that are world renown and also works with oils, pastels, pencil drawings, etc. You can also find some of his original works, stone statuary's concrete line, at major store chains, ie:Home Depot, Builders Square, Ace Hardware, Lowes, etc. Later on in his career, he travelled abroad to France and studied art, as well as the French language. He worked as a portrait artist in Paris, France and also worked for a restoration company where he made molds out of plaster and these skills he brought back to the United States and you can find may of his fountains and other works around the world.
