Al Smith Original Cartoon Drawing, "Life in the Suburbs," Children
First we would like you to know there are very few known of Al Smith's artwork in black ink of “Life in the Suburbs.”
This artwork in pen & ink are very impressive and show his experience of Suburban life, as he saw it in the caricature cartoon form.
This is an original drawing and not a newspaper copy.

Circa 08/02/1980, is signed by Al Smith and measures 12 1/4” wide by 9 1/2” tall.
Al Smith Started this series, Life In The Suburbs, around 1963 and for the duration of his life. Only if we could go back in time when life was at a slower speed and people took a little time to laugh and smell the roses.
It is in good condition, please review photographs thoroughly. Slight overall toning from age and there are light blue lines measuring about 1 5/8” in on the left and 1 1/2" in on the right side, which was probably used for later publication.
This is a one of a kind find and a fun addition for any cartoon or Al Smith collector. Enjoy!!
