Antique South Jersey, Millville, Glass Mushroom/Umbrella, Colored Frit & Aventurine Paperweight - Circa 1890 to 1910

Beautiful antique South Jersey Millville glass mushroom paperweight.

Circa 1890 to 1910 and measures 3 3/4" high x 3 1/4" in diameter.

This paperweight features a 3-dimensional ribbed, white umbrella/mushroom, speckled with multi-colored frit and aventurine on a clear ground.  There is a small air bubble above the indented center of the umbrella/mushroom.  The top is in a spherical form with an applied circular base, which has a rough pontil mark.

It is a beautiful piece with few scattered surface nicks.  The large interior has a grayish potstone, as made.  A beautiful site to see in person and is much more stunning in person!

This piece would look gorgeous in any setting.  Would be a great addition for any South Jersey glass or paperweight collector.
