Beautiful John Gentile Cut-Faceted, Frit Crane, Air Trap, Paperweight - Circa 1960
Beautiful John Gentile, cut-faceted, frit crane, air trap paperweight from the 20th Century.
Circa 1960 and measures 3" in diameter.
It features a beautiful frit crane and is air trapped with surrounding bubbles. The exterior is cut-facted. One large facet is on top, 4 small facets on the top sides with 4 medium facets on the bottom sides. The base graces a gorgeous cut star pattern.
It is in beautiful condition with some shelf wear to the base with a nick on top, as well as on two of the medium, lower side facets. There are some other minute nicks to the lower, medium size facets. The nicks are very minute and are on the cut edges of these facets. There was a sticker on the lower side of the paperweight, which is easy to get off, I must have missed it when I cleaned it, but I will remove this prior to sale. These do not take away from the beauty of this paperweight at all, very stunning to see in person. I personally things it is gorgeous! This would look gorgeous in any setting. A great addition for any John Gentile or paperweight collector.
