Beautiful Estate, Karl Griesbaum, German automaton music box, singing bird with the winding key on the bottom.
The bird swivels his head opens his beak and flicks his tail while chirping. The on and off switch works.
The bottom is marked made in Germany and KEN D.
Measuring 10 1/2” high, 6 1/2” long and 5 1/2” deep, it is in nice condition as the photos show, having the normal gesso loss here and there, and still retaining the beautiful gesso decoration in relief. The switch is working well, turning it off and on. It plays and moves very well. Enjoy!!!
