Beautiful French Napoleon III, enameled and bronze gold dore, trinket box.
Circa 1870 and measures 5 1/2” x 3 3/4” x 3/4” high.
This box is of the highest quality workmanship for the 1870 French period and is very heavy for its size. It is draped with bronze garland around the outer edge and a picture frame oval wreath on the top.
The exterior has the beautiful and original patina. The interior has some tarnishing and the bottom with some wear, as the photos show. A beauty box of the period.
