Exquisite, museum quality, hand painted and decorated floor tea poy caddy floor stand that you will ever lay your eyes on.

It is a 30” tall, 16” diameter piece signed Jennens & Bettridge, makers to the Queen, with wonderful large lid oil painting, titled, Dignity and Impudence, after much noted artist, Sir Henry Edwin Landseer.

(These two dogs belonged to Jacob Bell who commissioned Henry Landseer to paint this painting.   The Bloodhound was named Grafton and the West Highland Terrier was named Scratch.)  This painting remains Henry Landseer's most popular painting, done in 1839.

This tea caddy has two other beautifully painted dog terrier paintings on the two lift up lids housing the tea, also after Sir Henry Edwin Landseer.

This paper mache stand is highly decorated with gold scroll and shell inlays.  It is highly likely that is was decorated by Joseph Booth giving the texture to the body with low relief accents and high gold decoration around the top and pedestal.

This handsome piece is in excellent condition for its age with the interior being untouched, having brilliant colors.  The exterior having minor shell and paint touch ups as one would expect for its age, unnoticeable.  The interior includes two  original cut glass waste jars.

This stand will be a keeper for both dog and tea lovers.  There is no question that this is a museum quality piece.    Don't miss out!!
