Louis Vuitton Car Motoring Trunk, 31", Untouched Condition ~ Circa 1910
Beautiful and original, Louis Vuitton, Car Motoring Trunk from the early 20th Century.
Circa 1910 and measures 31” long x 13” deep x 8 1/4” wide.
It bears its original label and serial number on the interior with the hardware marked L. V., the lock also marked L. V, Repose. The interior straps & hardware are marked Louis Vuitton, Brevete.
Louis Vuitton was born in 1821 the village of Anchay in eastern France, the son of a farmer. At the age of 13 he travelled on foot to Paris. Two years in the travel, he became a trunk maker. In 1854 he opened his own workshop in Paris. The rest is history.
This truck is a wonderful size to use at home and is in super, untouched condition for its age. There is a small amount of water residue to the right front corner on the inside. The photos tell us all, this trunk being in super and original condition. Enjoy!!!
