Beautiful Roseville futura early 20th century hanging basket, #344.

The hanging basket measures 7 1/2" and has a blue dyed 3 inside, as the last picture shows.

Futura was produced in 1924.

Futura is a very diversified line. Some forms are angular, suggesting a geometric or Art Deco feeling, while some suggest lines of the future; ie: pine cone, teasel and others. There are pieces, like this hanging basket, that are decorated with leaves in various colors. The glaze typically is matte, but an occasional piece might be done in high-gloss.

This gorgeous piece is in excellent condition with no chips, hairlines or repairs. There is a little rubbing wear from where it was used once, to one of the hanging holes, but with a chain, this would be hidden and not noticeable.

This hanging basket would look absolutely gorgeous in a sun room with a draped plant. A great addition for any Roseville or pottery collector.
