Royal Bayreuth Set of 13 Porcelain Bavaria Pattern 11" Dinner Plates - Circa 1968
Beautiful Royal Bayreuth set of 13 porcelain Bavaria pattern, 11" dinner plates.
Circa 1968 - 1972, measure 11" and each are marked and have the pattern stamped as well on the back. The mark per the Royal Bayreuth reference book by Mary J. McCaslin shows this mark as mark #21, which would be after 1968 and in the Kovels reference book, it would be mark 13P, royall privileged porcelain factory, Tettau GMBH (Royal Bayreuth) Tettau, Bavaria, Germany, (W. Germany) porcelain. Kovels dates this at 1972.
These gorgeous plates are of high quality floral borders and center with gold gild trim and beautiful scalloped, gold edges. The pattern is Bavaria pattern done on a white porcelain ground. Exceptional detail.
This beautiful set is in great condition. Just exceptional! The set has 11 that are in great condition and 2 we are throwing in. One of the plates has a chip on the back of the plate and the other has a nick on the edging, as you will see in the last 2 pictures, so please review thoroughly.
Would definitely accentuate a dining area or hutch well. I can see these in a beautiful Victorian dining setting. A great addition for a collector!
