Wonderful set of stainless steel US Navy brain surgeon's tools from about the 1940 period or earlier.

The pieces are all etched by, we assume, the surgeon, J. Y. Phillips and are of different makers, V. Mueller and Codman And Shurtleff.

In 1893 Vinzenz Mueller brought German instrument craftsmanship to the United States.
