Beautiful, signed, Walton Blodgett watercolor painting of a brick house with people in the fore ground.
A much sought after artist in our area, the frame measuring 27” x 33” and the image size being 18” x 22”.
Walton Blodgett was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1908 and passed away in Stowe, Vermont in 1963. He studied at the Grand Central Art School in 1927, he also studied under George Luks Art Students League in NYC. He exhibited his works and was an active member of the American Watercolor Society and is most known, as an American Scene watercolor painter, illustrator and teacher.
In the late 1930's, Walton moved his family to Stowe, Vermont. He had been doing a lot of Vermont scenes, which he was selling to tourists and this wonderful artist has a huge following here in Vermont.
