Gorgeous Italian bronze figure titled, Il Granchio, on a marble base.

Measures about 39 1/4" tall and from fingertip to the toe is about 29 7/8". The marble base measures 11" x 14" and weighs about 80 pounds.

Features a young fisher boy getting bit by a crab at his feet and is signed, De Lotto. The patina on this beautiful figure is absolutely gorgeous and the sculpture is finely detailed, as you will see in some of the photos provided. Make sure to look at his hands and feet, you can see the detail in the nails and throughout. His works are just stunning! This young boy was casted from a model in the first half of the 20th Century by Annibale De Lotto.

Annibale De Lotto, 1877 - 1932, was a visual Italian artist.

The bronze is in exceptional condition with no cracks or repairs. Wear commensurate with age. There are a few minor scratches and a minor bruise on the arm.
