Beautiful Estate pair of French Baroque portraits of court figures, a lady and a gent dating from the early 18th Century.
This pair of oil paintings are a large oval size of 43” high by 31”.
They are in beautiful condition for the age, having been cleaned and retouched in places through the years, as well as being relined. There is the normal age crackling to the paint. They are nicely framed with the frames having some holes and chipping, as the photos show.
We have found the signature on the Court Lady on the lower part, but cannot make it out. Possibly you will.
