George H Seeley, Estate, Rare Impressionistic Goose Photograph
Beautiful, rare, Estate framed impressionistic photograph of a goose on a pond. Signed, George H Seeley. This came directly out of the Seeley family Estate liquidation in the 1980's in Massachusetts.
It appears to be a platinum photograph, as it has very soft tones. This has a very impressionistic feel to it, as seen in the photos provided.
It measures 15 3/4" x 13 3/4" and the frame measures 24 3/8" wide x 22 1/8" tall.
You will see the signature, Seeley, on the bottom right below the photograph.
George H Seeley was born in Stockbridge, Massachusetts in 1880 and he passed away in 1955. He is known for his high quality pictorial photographs and was one of the famous leading photographers to use photography, as an art form. The Stieglitz "291" gallery exhibited some of his works. Many George H Seeley photographs have sold in the five figure range.
The photograph is in great condition. You will see in the photos provided, a little corner missing in the upper right hand corner.
This would definitely be an extremely wonderful addition for any photographer or photography collector. What a splendid piece!
