We are pleased to offer you this jewel of a historic golf ,1904, photograph of the famous 8th hole known as Hades, the toughest hole on the course, taken during the 1904 Amateur Championships with John Ball, Jr. and Horace Hutchinson playing on this famous green at Royal St. George's, Sandwich, England golf course.

This is an original silvertone photograph of great historical significance.  It is signed by the golfers, John Ball, Jr.  and Horace Hutchinson, playing that day, along with Chas. Hutchins and J.H. Taylor.   They are all signed in white ink with the main heading stating Amateur Championship, 1904, Sandwich, England, at the famous 8th Hades hole.  

The frame measures 15 3/4” x 20 3/4” with the image size being 14” x 8 1/4”.

The photograph has minor spots to the right side, but for its age, this photo is in excellent condition.  The lower matting has a small indentation in the w of Sandwich.   The glass is not present.  Framing and backing are all original and untouched.
