Stunning WMF, Geislingin, silver-plated German figural centerpiece from the early 20th Century.

Circa 1905 and measures 9 1/2" tall x 14 1/4" long x 12 3/4" wide.

Features a beautifully dressed silver-plated figural woman in the center of 3 trays. The tray is beautiful silver-plated with designs in the centers of the trays. Just stunning. It is double footed in 3 places between the trays, as you will see in the 7th photograph above.

Maker's mark is as follows:

Famous Ostrich mark with WMF/G in a rhombus. The WMF stands for Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik and the G stands for Geislingin. This hallmark dates this piece between 1903 - 1910

The hallmark B is the letter inscription, which means the use of Britannia metal, which is a tin based alloy, used as a base metal for silvering.

The hallmark I/O is a fraction inscription mark, which means the normal thickness of silver deposited onto the surface of the base metal.

The hallmark OX is an inscription mark, which stands for oxidized. The darkening of the silver surface to a grey color. (Information credited to: ASCAS, Association of Small Collectors of Antique Silver)

We have not cleaned it, as we leave that up to the buyers.

The centerpiece is in beautiful condition and appearance. The figural lady is stunning. The tray has minor wear from use. You will find that there are a few faint scratches and wear to the underside from use. A very beautiful piece, please review photographs thoroughly.

What a great piece to add to a table setting or for any collector. Enjoy!!
