Absolutely stunning, hand painted portrait on slate.

A beautiful painting in the manner of quality of Wagner.

Circa 1876 and measures 12" x 15"

Features a gorgeous portrait of a woman and she is surrounded by a painted frame along with what looks like painted marble, absolutely an extravagant piece of art.

Marked on the back, H. H. Franklin, Fairhaven, VT, 1876.

It is in wonderful condition and even the slate has a marbleized effect!

This is such a gorgeous and exquisite piece that would definitely be a great addition for any art collector and would definitely accent a Victorian room well above a mantle. Definitely an eye catcher.
