Kathe Kruse Signed, Original, #1 Doll with Original Clothing
Beautiful, original, very early, #1 Kathe Kruse doll with original clothing.
Circa 1910 to 1915 and measures 16”.
She is in immaculate shape for a 100 plus year-old doll. Her left foot is signed and numbered, #984.
The body has separate sewn thumbs and legs, having 5 seams with jointed legs. There are 8 seams on the upper body with the head having 5 seams and a pair of chin seams. And, yes, she has been black lighted and is good; however, with some very minor smudging on face, hard to see at a glance.
The knitted clothing is in need of repair by a knitter, as the photo shows. There are holes in all of the pieces, but well worth preserving.
The facial paint is all original and in nice condition. It is obvious that this Kruse doll was hardly used and well taken care of.
