Beautiful Nippon molded, blown out Indian and Goose, "The Hunter" charger. Done after a W. C. Wyeth painting, Circa 1911- 1921, in the hard to find, Under The Tree In The Rushes, version.
Measuring 10 9/16 inches in diameter and it has the right green wreath mark #47.
The last version we saw of this Under The Tree In The Rushes was in 2005, one being sold by Jackson's Auctions, lot #111, August 13, 2005, for $1,200.00 plus the buyers' premium. The estimate was $1,500.00 to $2,000.00.
It is in fine shape having no cracks, chips or repairs.
This exquisite piece would be an extreme eye catcher in any room and is a must for any advanced Nippon collection.
