Rare Pre-Columbian Colima Terracotta Thinking Male Figure - 1st Century BC to 2nd Century AD
Fresh out of a private collection started about the 1960's to the 1970's, we have the privilege to offer you this rare Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima Terracotta thinking figure artifact.
Circa 1st Century B.C. - 2nd Century A.D and measures 10.5" high x 8" long x 7" depth.
Featuring a male figure that appears to be kneeling on one knee and typically with this pose it refers to the thinking pose. Featuring stunning colors of rusty red, brown, gray and black. Just a stunning ancient artifact.
This monumental figure is in original, ancient condition with no restoration or repainting. Some minor nicks, abrasions and miniscule stress fractures to the sides of the head. Very hard to see, this is all natural for historical artifacts of this age. All commensurate with age, being 2000 years old, it is a wonder they even exist.
This piece is an authentic, genuine artifact from West Mexico. Please review the photographs thoroughly for the condition, this is very important. If you have any questions, please let us know.
This is just one piece out of many from the Estate collection in our gallery and would look absolutely stunning in any setting. Great addition for any Pre-Columbian artifact collector.
