ROOKWOOD EARLY 20TH CENTURY MATTE LIGHT BLUE SOUTH WEST FIGURAL VASE
Beautiful Rookwood, South West design, matte light blue vase.
Circa 1946.
Measures 5 9/16" tall.
You will see the Rookwood with roman numeral XLVI, the shape #6762 and the decorators initials SL impressed on the base. The roman numerals were used on Rookwood to give you the date it was made.
We believe the initials to be Van Briggle potter, Scott Ladzinski, as he also worked with Rookwood; however, not 100% certain, but the way the L is, is consistent with his initials used later on.
Features a beautiful South Western, figural design in a matte light blue coloring. The figures are in relief.
The vase is in good condition, having minor scratches in the glaze as you will see in the photos. It has no cracks, chips or repairs.
This gorgeous vase is looking for a home to grace its presence. A great addition for any pottery or Rookwood collector.
