French Champleve and Onyx Hand Painted on Porcelain Plaque, The Last Supper - Circa 1880
Beautiful French Champleve and onyx plaque, hand painted on porcelain, titled, "The Last Supper" from the late 19th Century.
Circa 1880 and the plaque itself measures 8" tall x 10 3/4" long x 9/16" depth and with the back arm set out for it to rest, the depth is about 6". The frame of the image is 6 13/16" long x 4 7/8" tall and the image itself is 3 7/16" tall x 5 3/8" long.
Features a hand painted plaque on porcelain set on onyx with a bronze backing done in enameled champleve. Just absolutely stunning and quite the eye catcher!
This is a gorgeous and heavy piece. There is a chip on one of the corners of the onyx, which you cannot see from the front. Please see photographs.
